PGA Show: Old friends and Unexpected Layovers

The PGA Show in Orlando a major production. It’s big. It’s loud. It’s overwhelming in the best possible way. Our sights are set on showing in 2027. But that doesn't mean we can't make connections and learn new things at what's become the golf industry's Super Bowl.

All trade-shows are product on the surface, but they're primarily about people. Buyers, designers, brand owners, media, shop managers all in one place, walking the massive floor, comparing notes. You can send emails all year, but there’s something irreplaceable about face-to-face conversations.
One of the highlights of the week was celebrating our friend Jared Henzlik, who took home PGA Merchandiser of the Year. If you know Jared, this comes as absolutely no surprise. He’s someone who deeply understands product, presentation, and community. He's also one of the most gregarious people in any room at any time. Watching people like Jared get recognized is a reminder that this industry still rewards taste, effort, and consistency. Huge congrats, well deserved.
Of course, no trip is complete without a little chaos. Thanks to the Hoth-like snowstorm back in the Northeast, our Orlando stay turned into an extended vacation. Flights canceled. Hotels rebooked. A few extra days under palm trees while everyone back home shoveled driveways. We’re not saying we suffered — but we’re also not saying we didn’t order iced coffees in January just to be annoying.

You get used to the hotel digs after a few days. Our Hudson Polos, Quarterzips and Pullovers (and our new One Under Caps) were all mainstays throughout the week.
Between meetings, dinners, and impromptu run-ins on the show floor, the week reinforced something we already believe: golf is evolving, but relationships are still the engine. Brands come and go. Products cycle. But the people who show up year after year are the ones shaping where this industry is headed.
We left Orlando tired, energized, over-caffeinated, and thankful. Thankful to attend. Thankful to reconnect. Thankful to be building Rookline in a space that continues to surprise us.
