One Handshake Away: RKL x Four Seasons Invitational
This past week, our team at Rookline spent four days in Orlando supporting the Four Seasons Invitational (FSI) — a charity golf tournament partnered with Advent Health on a mission to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research.
Now in its third year, the FSI has quickly become a highlight on the calendar for golfers and supporters alike. This was our first time taking part in the event, and our first opportunity to show up in person in this capacity — on site, set up on the first tee, and meeting players face to face.
For much of our first year as a brand, we’ve focused heavily on building our digital presence. That’s the natural (and necessary) route for any emerging eCommerce company — to refine our online experience, connect through content, and scale through digital channels. But being at the Invitational was a refreshing reminder that some of the most meaningful connections happen away from screens, in person, one handshake at a time.
Over the four days, we had the chance to meet more than 140 new faces — players, supporters, organizers, and fellow brands — and to share what we’re building at Rookline. The feedback, conversations, and genuine enthusiasm we received were energizing in a way that can’t be replicated online.
The tournament itself was hosted at Tranquilo Golf Club, a course that defies every expectation of “resort golf.” Far from flat or predictable, Tranquilo challenges players with thoughtful routing and natural terrain that keeps you fully engaged from the first hole to the last. Between conversations and product demos, we even found some time to fine-tune our chipping form (though results are still pending).
Being part of this event reminded us of something simple but important: the sum of any meaningful effort always outweighs that of its individual parts. Whether it’s the collective energy of a community coming together for a cause, or a team of people building a brand from the ground up — real progress happens through connection.
We owe a huge thank-you to the Four Seasons and Rodney Cook for their support in making sure our setup on Hole #1 was dialed and that our experience on site was seamless from start to finish.
We left Orlando with new friends, new fans, and a renewed appreciation for the community that exists within this game. The event may be over, but the relationships and inspiration we found there are just getting started.
We’re already looking forward to returning next year.
